A Grueling Aspect of Work — ANTI-PIRACY

Another philosophy ongoing in my work is:

"The highest ART in Modern Publishing
lies in
not allowing the Online Pirates to show you what they can do!!"

The philosophy emphasizes on Prophylaxis, rather than playing a double-edged game in an open battlefield. I have often seen Western Publishers sending out "Takedown Notices" to a countless number of websites, hoping for obedience, but in reality many sites (possibly most) didn't care and the Publishers are still wasting time chasing them only legally.

In some cases, Publishers win in the court though. But the TIME invested — if not MONEY too — is quite great. Even there! So the philosophy/question:

What if a set Time (and possibly a set Money too) is invested BEFOREHAND as a preparation for Anti-piracy? Rather than the Post-piracy resistance work, which is a kind of waiting game, where the Rights-holder is practically at the receiving end of the communication! (With an uncertain amount of Time & uncertain amount of Money being invested in the ensuing Legal battle...)

This leads to a grueling New aspect among the several other important aspects in my Startup Business of the E-book project. This I call Anti-piracy strategy

The other important aspects/works are:
  1. E-commerce in general
  2. Visual design
  3. Formatting
  4. Proof-reading
  5. Editing
  6. Updating
  7. Modern ©-statement
  8. Inventory @ Cloud i.e. storage/backup
  9. Accountancy
  10. Marketing
etc.

in a book on the
1984–85 Moscow World Chess Championship

During the preparation for an ideal Anti-piracy model, I realized that a fully water-proof idea is still an illusion! The technology of "sharing" is so sophisticated now, that one way or other, the Pirates will find a way-out from my prophylactic game plan. Even if they fail in first attempt or second, they would come up with a solution, in say the 3rd attempt. After sufficiently re-analyzing my strategy.

World Chess Championship
Moscow 1984–85

Albeit after a TIME-OUT, so to say, using the analogy of the World Chess Championship. The Champion executes a game plan. The challenger loses a game or two. Then the team of the Challenger takes a 'holiday' (called the Time-out) and the entire group including the Challenger sits down in a hotel, spending the entire 48–72 hours re-analyzing the Champion's play. — How he won! What else could have happened? Can we improve? There must be some improvement! Let's just search it out.

And in many cases, in the history of Chess, it has been seen that just after the Time-out, the Challenger (or the Player earlier losing) has come back winning! Especially if the Champion (or the leading player) has kept his strategy 'static'.

So everything needs Updating! Even the Champion's play. The Champion should be dynamic. He should not repeat the same strategy especially if there is Time-out!

In other words, even the Champion should improve upon his own, in each Time-outs.♦
